A Baton Rouge man arrested last week on several of child exploitation charges allegedly tricked minors into sending him pornographic images then extorted them for more.

Matthew Walker, 24, was booked Friday (March 13) on a number of charges, including making, distributing and possessing child pornography. He's also accused of indecent behavior with juveniles, extortion and soliciting minors on the computer.

An affidavit of arrest reveals Walker, whose address was listed in the 5100 block of Claycut Road, allegedly pretended on the computer to be a young girl in order to contact other young girls. He then had the juveniles produce and send him child pornography at his request and would then extort them for additional images and videos.

Three victims were identified by law enforcement: one was under age 15 and two were under age 13, according to the affidavit. Walker allegedly sent images of the pornography to at least one victim, claiming he would share them with their school or parents if they didn't "follow his instructions" and produce more pornography.

The images, the affidavit says, showed children under age 13, "with the camera clearly focused" on the genital area.
