They are out of control at my apartment. The year I moved in I took out about 15 nests between the front and backyard. Even going up on the roof to get em. They are back in full force. The thing is I can't even find the nests. They just fly around. I'm not terrified of them, but it's nearly impossible to have people over and hang out outside. Besides spraying the frick out of them with raid is there a candle or something that would have a more permanent effect.

You may attract another type of nuisance if you do this.

Those bird blocker things would work if you have spots that are repeated used.

Dish soap water and a garden sprayer. May not be longer lasting than wasp spray but it's cheaper.

Paint the whole house blue

Sorry baw, but I'm pretty sure candles melt, so that would rule out the permanent effect you want.

Eta: In reality, painting under eaves and porches blue generally keeps them away. Screen off all attic vents

I had the same problem at my moms house. I could never find the nest but saw that they were crawling in and out of the soffit. I tried to spray the nest in the attic but could not see it because of overlapping plywood. I found Wisdom TC at tractor supply and gave it a try. I sprayed all the cracks in the soffit and after 1 week they were almost nonexistent.

You can spray it on plants but I didn't because I didn't want to kill the bees that actually do something beneficial

I have a section of my attic that is inaccessible but is over my living room. The damn wasp found a way in there built freaking colonies I assume. I have yellow jackets, red wasp, normal wasp, a lot of damn wasp. They come out of the recessed lights I assume and chase me around the living room. We'll kill 50+ a week in the house. They only come out when it warms up and when it gets cold; radiant heat from the sun and heat from the furnace I suppose. Anyway, when they show up I run to da Wal Marks and get a few of the Raid fog bombs like I use in my box stands, remove a recessed light and chuck 4x the recommended amount at them. Works for about 6 months.....

Suspend SC
I spray that stuff everywhere I can think of, kids playhouse, soffet around the house, patio, fences. Between the Suspend SC in spray form and Talstar granules on the lawn. The ecosystem around the house is nonexistent.

Not if you swing really hard, then stomp the wasp on the ground.

Bring in very ethnic people. Wasps hate diversity.

They are everywhere around my house right now, too. They are looking for a good spot to build a nest. If they bother you, wait until they build a nest and go to war. Wasp nests don't bother me around my house, as long as I know where they are.
