Went in this morning to get drivers license renewed.

Forgot my insurance card in the car, so pulled that shite up on the phone.

Paid with a credit card.

In and out in under 15 minutes. Yay, Mandeville!

Went to renew my license last summer. Couldn't pass the eye test. The lady "coached" me through it

There was one interesting thing though... had a mom and two kids there to get their drivers tests. They were in an older minivan that was really showing it's age... probably 300K miles on that thing.

Very nice and humble family as I was able to see from the interactions.

Well, the DMV lady, while being very nice, was visibly scared about riding in that van for the two driving tests. She was almost literally giving the thing a full brake inspection even though their sticker was current.

Anyway, girl drives out and comes back in a few minutes later to the mom who was seated close to me.

Mom: "How'd it go?"

Girl (laughing): "Went great. But the transmission slipped as we were pulling out of the parking lot."

Mom (laughs a little with her daughter: "well we made it through today. This could be the start of good things for us."

Again, very humble family. One of those times when you wish you were an true OT baller so you could pay for car repairs for them to get them a little break, you know?

When I got my first drivers license the DMV was next to the old cheap movies. I remember walking in there with my dad and all my paperwork for the test 30 minutes before closing. The lady looked over my stuff and said Ill ask you the harder questions and if you do good on that we will skip the rest and go straight for the driving test. I got all those q's right and we walked outside to my dads car. She looked at her watch and asked me if I could parallel park. I said yes ma'am and she said ok show me. So I did and she said ok you pass. In and out in 30 min for my first DL. How's that for a DMV?

So yea, yay Mandeville
