wish we could've got him. He threw down some monster dunks and the game just looks effortless.

Really left impressed.

I'll take Blakeny over him. Plus, isn't even the best player on his high school team

Man we could've took both considering they play different positions. He's a top 50 player in the nation, we got plenty room as our bench is about 1 deep.

He was the best player in his team Everytime I saw him. He's the best player in the state.

Jacob Evans is better, but they are both good players

Tone and Brandon play exactly the same position. They're both 6'4 scoring guards. Tone just does it better.

You really don't know what you're talking about at all. If we get Newman, then Newman, Blakeney, hornsby, quarterman, Patterson would make him the 6th guy

Obviously Blakeney is better but we desperately need to start adding multiple skilled players to build up our depth. BlAkeney is prob a 1 and done. Sampson can play the PG too and will likely be a 4 year player.

I think Sampson has the potential to be better than all those guys you mentioned other than Newman and BlAkeney.

This reminds me of Langston Galloway or Damion Jones leaving BR. Both guys who could helped this program. The 3 guys you named will help for one year. He didn't want to come here so I guess my point is moot, just came away impressed with him over the last couple state championships.

Sampson wanted major minutes immediately. He wasn't going to get it at LSU. He also needs to add weight for HM ball.

Sampson isn't a case of LSU not wanting him.

Edit: Jones was never coming to LSU. He wanted to do engineering at a academics first school and good for him for doing so.

Josh Anderson is the best player on Prep. And he is a sophomore. Evans is the best player in the state

I'd just like to point out that Brandon Sampson wasn't even the Finals MVP... It was Will Reese from Anacoco

Sampson was the MVP of his State Finals game. I didn't say Top 28 overall MVP.

Sampson wasn't even the best player in that game. He got the nod because he is a senior and ranked prospect. Everyone knows that. I was laughing so hard at the kids from other teams talking crap because even they knew it.

Sampson is gonna be a solid 4 year player. First two he'll either put up numbers on a bad team or struggle on a good one.

Idk man I guess we see different things and that's fine. I know he's better than a number of guys LSU has on scholarship at the moment.

All good though brah

He's got a high ceiling than some current LSU players but what guard on (or projected to be) LSU's roster is he gonna be better than next year or the year after?

What guard will be on LSU's roster in two years? Other than Patterson, who knows?

Point is... if he came to LSU, he'd just transfer out after getting little to no minutes year 1 and likely the same year 2 if he didn't leave after 1 (or not be successful year 2). He is better off going somewhere that he'll be happy and get to play. If things don't work out, he can pull a Craig Victor.

That being said, the brand game was strong with his decision. SJU is only Under Armor school that was on his list.
