Seems I keep hearing this year after year. It's one loss true but to not bunt the guy over with runner on second with no outs in extra innings makes Les Miles worst coaching flop look amazing.

It was amazing to see him pass on that, really strange choice I thought. I am not wiz at baseball but a Bird in the Hand IS definitely worth two in the bush.

Ya last night I felt bad for Lange and thought wtf is CPM doing putting in a closer, let him finish. But at 117, it was past time for him to come out, Stallings just shite the bed.
On another note, not trying to hijack this thread, but I personally think Stallings should be on alert after dumping that inning last night cause Person has been dealing consistently. Wouldn't mind seeing him switch with Stallings from 8th inning set up to 9th inning closer.

If he was playing for the Series win, then why put his highest ERA guy in the game when its tied in extra innings. I know he was hoping to have him save inning for guys on Sunday, but you win the game at hand...I bet he even thinks it wasn't a good move, and that's baseball, but you put yourself in the best odds of winning; and nothing is guaranteed on Sunday....

I told a friend of mine before stallings came in that this was a bad decision.
Straw should have closed this game. Ole Miss saw 94 95 all game for at lease 4 at bats.
