How long does your average work day/week last?

I just took a new job which provides me a much better schedule than I had before (4 days on, 2 days off, 12 hours per day). I'm part of the Millennial generation that has taken a bashing here in recent days and I'm told the attrition rate in my industry is high among new hires my age because they don't want to put up with this work schedule.
My question is how difficult is this work schedule compared to others? Don't plant operators/managers do something similar? I do wish we had a greater work/life balance in the US but it's just our culture to work hard, so I figure this is something Americans as a whole are putting up with.

5 days a week 10 hours a day off weekends, all major holidays, and summers

When I work full-time it's generally 45-55 hours/week... Sometimes more if there's a holiday or festival of some sort. Mid-afternoons to late nights.

Before I got screwed into a salary position I was putting in between 70 - 80 hrs a week. Now that my hours are not recorded probably 50-60 depending on the need.

Work 70-80 a week, 39 total days PTO and holidays per year

45ish hours per week, depending on how much extra work I can get off the bosses at the end of the week. I work with a bunch of assholes that don't want to work overtime, so that's an extra couple hundred bucks a week for me to clear out.

First of all congrats on your job. Secondly about your schedule, neglecting vacation, let's compare it to your standard 5 days on/2 days off, 8 hours per day schedule.
For your schedule, in 84 days (84 is a common multiple of both schedules) you will have worked 56 days and been off 28 days. At 12 hours a day, that is 672 hours of working.
In the same time period, for the "standard" 8 hour per day, 5 days a week schedule, the worker works 60 days, and is off 24 days. At 8 hours a day, he works 480 hours.
So, you work approximately 1.4 times the hours as the 5 on-2 off worker. Plus, you have irregular days off-this might be good for getting some stuff done on the quiet weekdays, but you will be missing parties and weekend activities.
If you get more pay that the regular schedule it can be worth it. For the same pay, though, you are working more.
But if you enjoy the job and the experience is good then you should keep it.
