I mean, unless your team is involved does it matter? We get all up in arms over 11&12 seeds some that won't get out of the First 4 and others most likely going down in the next round, yet I find myself all up in it every year. Why do we do this?

Because you're a sports fan, you like college basketball, and with those two, like most fans, like to debate anything that you can

I for one can't stand when an analyst (looking at D. Vital) goes on-and-on-and-on about which team should have gotten in, but are reluctant to name a team that got in that shouldn't have.

Like who? Not calling you out, but I can't recall any of the top of my head.

If you are not already a fan of a team, then they quickly become either the Cinderella team everyone cheers for or the become the despised team that you want to lose immediately so you can say "I told you they didn't belong"

VCU, George Mason. Do you even follow college basketball?

Heck Tennessee made it to the sweet 16 from the play-in game last year. The two teams in the championship were 8 seeds.

BC it's fun to talk about.

Watching teams elation and the reverse dream crush is also entertaining.

Well Cinderellas happen.

I don't care to focus on who got snubbed like some do. It's a field of 68...if you don't get in, don't cry about it.

Just expand the tournament and then the bubble goes away and all the mid majors are happy. Eliminate conference tourneys and start the tourney this weekend instead. I don't get how all the tourney champs get in thereby knocking out qualified teams. You play the whole season and then none of it matters until the very end.

Those 9-12 seeds can turn a good tournament into a great one.

The #1 flaw with college basketball, right here. It's a sport where a 7 and 8 seed can play for the national title. Their seeding means they were ranked between 25-32, which means the entire regular season is a glorified exhibition.

is it really? 27 bids go to non power 5 conferences. I'm not saying those teams might be deserving, but its frustrating watching a mid-level team in say the ACC get left out because Liberty won their fricking conference tournament, and then proceeds to lose in the first round by 25

Eh uconn is the only team who ever wins the title and isnt the best team. Every other year back to at least like 2000, the team that wins the tourney can legitimately be called the best team in the country.

If they lose all those glorified exhibition games, they still get their 7 seed, right?
