Darren McFadden as 3rd down back?

I know he is good out to the backfield and can catch well. Let's face it, he was doomed to underachieve the second he got drafted by Oakland. Where would he fall in the Spiller/Bush discussion? He would probably come cheaper and I don't think he's ever really been set up to do well in Oakland.

I think we could use the depth at RB so if Spiller or Bush don't work, maybe he does.

No, McFadden hasn't averaged 3.5 ypcarry since '11 (a season when he only played 7 games)
Yeah he played on the Raiders, but almost every running back they had outplayed him (Bush, Jennings, Reece)
Two years ago the Raiders rushed for 2,000 yards, McFadden accounted for less than 400 of them and he was the starter for 1/2 the season.
