Yes wishful thinking, however I have seen crazier things happen during the draft.

Lol at Scherff not being athletic enough.

He's an o lineman bro and can lift a house. Who gives a shite if he's not athletic

Agree about Scherff. he is athletic enough to knock people on their arse. if Jahri comes back healthy, our O-line would be dominant with Scherff. When Brees has a running game and time to throw, we can have an average defence and go to the Superbowl.

I see us badly needing an OG, ILB, and OLB, plus we could use a WR and TE. I see it shaking down like:

Pick 13: Scherff or Collins
Pick 31: best ILB or OLB (plenty good available)
Pick 44: best opposite pick of pick #31 (ILB or OLB)
Pick 75: best TE available

Remaining picks for WR or backup positions.

Hell No.

I see us doing this.

13. OLB (Vic Beasley; Bud Dupree; Shaq Thompson)
31: ILB (Stephone Anthony; Eric Kendericks; Perryman; McKinney)
44: BPA
75: TE (Clive Walford)

We can wait on OG; I am really high on Nick Easton of Harvard. Has better bench rep, vertical jump, 40 time than your beloved La'el Collins.

Why do we all of a sudden need to draft a TE? We have two good ones on the roster.

Hill looked really impressive out there and Watson is solid as always.

We definitely won't pick a tight end until the 6th or 7th and we might not even then. Just pick up an UDFA as depth

I been hearing that Saints are high on Walford. He is more of Ben Watson mold than Graham. Watson is getting old. Makes sense to get him to develop him in a multi-tool H-back.

Maybe so but you don't even consider that until round 5 or later. We have way bigger holes to fix. If there is any one position to be mediocre at, it's tight end.

Aaron Rodgers gives zero fricks abou a good tight end. It's not the end all be all.

Agreed. But, If he's absolutely the BPA at that spot. I can see us jumping the gun. Payton is a guy who loves depth at offense.

Brees can make Hill a star if he has time. Shockey was pretty unstoppable in the red zone during our Super Bowl run and he wasn't anywhere near as big as Jimmy.
