I have recently started going through my Bob Dylan phase of life. I love Tangled up in Blue and Isis. Any other song suggestions besides his obvious hits?

I love to play Blind Willie McTell--maybe you can check it out on youtube. Of course, there are hundreds more great Dylan songs to dive into.

My favorite version is by The Dream Syndicate

I couldn't find the studio track on YT, only a live version where the singer starts off by saying "This is a song we're not supposed to do, if I said why we're not supposed to do it we couldn't do it..."

My favorite song of his is "you ain't going nowhere." There are several versions out there because the Byrds and Roger Mcgwinn and lots of others have covered it, but my favorite version is just Bob singing it solo. It's not on YouTube, at least the last time I looked.

Good god, this is a fantastic one. Waylon has a good version of it too.

For stuff a tad later in his career, my favorite is "When I Paint My Masterpiece". A really good version of it was done live by Glen Hansard (from "Once"):

He does a great job of "sounding like Dylan would sound if Dylan sounded good".

i don't know if I have a favorite. plus I'm not sure what a Dylan "hit" is since so many of his songs were not billboard hits. Tangled up is certainly a good one.

Desolation Row, Positively 4th Street, Idiot Wind, Ballad of a Thin Man, Stuck Inside of Mobile w/Memphis Blues, and World War 3 Blues all come to mind. But those may be hits?

It's All Over Now Baby Blue, Just Like Tom Thumbs Blues, Masterpiece, Queen Jane, Maggies Farm are songs The Grateful Dead exposed me too.

Solid Rock is a song Widespread Panic is currently covering. You might like that.

Dylan is journey. I always suggest getting Blood on the Tracks and Shelter From the Storm since one is accoustic and the other is electric and contain many of the same songs.

Here's David Allan Coe doing a pretty good Dylan impersonation.

Tonight I'll be Staying Here with You, his voice sounds amazing on this one.

Entire Highway 61 Revisited, Blonde on Blonde, Blood on the Tracks.

'like a rolling stone' and 'highway 61' ... well known, but there's a reason ... the opening stanza to '61 is kind of funny ...
