We are getting either Forsett, Spiller, or Bush. Cooks pick looks pretty stupid about right now and Darqueze Dennard was on the board. Oh well. Cooks can still be a big weapon, but we need to add some big body receivers.

While I agree we completely flubbed addressing the CB2 spot last offseason, I think having Cooks is even more important now. Payton will use him all over the field and we'll beed big plays from him with Graham gone. I'd like to get another big bodied WR, but wouldn't be surprised if Payton was content to roll with Colston, Cooks, Stills, Toon, and another body.

Love the Cooks pick.
And yes have been advocating for a vet WR to go with all the young one's we have.

I would agree more if Cooks had proven ability to be a deep threat. He should still be a filthy slot type that should be unguardable in the short game. I do like Cooks, but we needed a corner there.

I wonder if Spiller will get a look from the Boys?

I stil don't know why teams haven't converted Bush to a slot receiver? He's escentially a Cooks clone if you played him at WR. It would get him thru the line and allow him to be in space already. He's not a RB in the NFL.

He's not a WR in the NFL. He rounds off his routes or chops his steps too much. His route tree is limited bc he doesn't run the routes as clean as other slot WRs. That is why you typically only see him run slants, quick outs, posts, or flys from the slot position.

Cooks is a safer bet than a CB which traditionally have a very hard time adjusting.

CSP did not use him right until late in the year.

if the OLine is better, and Drew's pocket is clean, and Ingram is going off, Cooks is going to absolutely blow up in the playaction game... seems to me.

He only averaged 1000 yards a season for 3 straight years. Up until last year.
