Both came into today tied on aggregate. Both had their opponents have a player sent off controversially.

Bayern wins 7-0 and advances
Chelsea ties 2-2 and is knocked out

A couple of second place teams in 3rd rate leagues. Pretty similar.

I agree that Chelsea should have put PSG away but it's safe to say that Shakhtar =/= PSG.

Also, obvs troll job.

PSG isn't really great, neither is Shakhtar. Both Chelsea and Bayern were supposed to be the vastly superior team at home and both had an extra man. Bayern went for the kill, Chelsea was lackadaisical, played content with a draw and they were punished for it. If you don't think managers had anything to do with that, then maybe you're the stupid one.

PSG and Shaktar are on two different levels. That pretty much ruins the rest of your argument even if style of play played it's part.

It's not like Mourinho doesn't know his style is risky in some cases. He's won with that strategy plenty just like he's lost. Same with Pep though.

No doubt in my mind that Dirty Randy would have made something similar, tbh.

I never said I expected Chelsea to win 7-0 but wouldn't you expect the team running away with the Premier League to act like champions at home against a French club when said French club is down a man?

They should have won no doubt.

The thread is still stupid because you can't compare the two teams.

Act like champions? There are several ways to win a championship. I think Jose AND Pep have both proven that.

Yeah, Bayern is a whole lot better than Shaktar.

After watching over 200 minutes of Chelsea and PSG I'd say PSG is the better team even if Chelsea should probably beat them against 10 men at home.

I'm intrigued only because I know wm knows more about this subject than 100% of this board.

Yes, yes you would.

Most disgusted I've ever been with Chelsea today. With that said congrats to PSG, they wanted it more from the opening whistle of leg 1 and never stopped today even after being wrongfully reduced to 10 men.

Chelsea deserved to lose. This team is the most mentally weak Chelsea team I have ever seen.

Glad it was Silva at least, he is pure class in every way.

We take the lead every game and then piss it away. Cesc was right, zero killer instinct on this team.

How does a team with Cahill, Ivan, Terry, Zouma, Matic in the side have a complete inability to defend aerial crosses match after match?

F me, F Chelsea, F it all, Congrats PSG

Rant over....

...for now
