ESPN's Adam Caplan says there's "mutual interest" between the Eagles and free agent RB DeMarco Murray. Perhaps this isn't as far-fetched as it sounds. The Eagles are still flush with cap space despite taking on Sam Bradford and just missed out on Frank Gore. Meanwhile, Murray's market seems to include only the Cowboys, Jaguars and possibly Raiders. The Eagles RB depth chart currently reads Chris Polk, Darren Sproles, Matthew Tucker.

So that would make Chip look pretty damn smart with the Mccoy trade.

Let him go and draft a young stud.

I really hope he doesn't end up in either of those places

I predict a dramatic fall off by Murray no matter where he signs next year. He's always been injury prone and had a career year in a contract year behind the best OL in the league.

Give me All Day on a 2 or 3 year deal or grab a back in the draft.

b/c its so very easy to find an every down back who knows how to block and can get you those tough yards when you need them.

And every back in NFL history has had an steep decline the following year after 400+ carries except for Eric Dickerson in his prime.

Why? They went after Gore first.

He would only be lucky that fell through and that they have plenty of cap space.

I still think CJ Spiller would be the best fit in that backfield. [Unless Philly tries to draft someone]

There have been a lot of good backs drafted outside of the first round. Especially the last couple of years.

And with the Cowboys O-line it will make it even easier for them. Murray's numbers will be down if he goes to the Eagles.

This is a deep RB draft this year as well.

The B1G alone produced some serious RB talent.

I'm a big fan of Gordon but I'm still somewhat skeptical of Wisconsin running backs.

The Cowboys will have some thinking to do if Murray is indeed gone and Melvin Gordon is sitting there at 27.
