I shook his hand one time. It was the size of a catchers mitt.

Never forget at the end of one of the games during the timeout Dale told Jose "Do not shoot Jose". He shot and we lost.

Remember when Fess Irvin couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to. Dale yelled, Jose, move your lazy arse, don't stand there like a statue.

Yeah, but it was a lot worse than that. Dale told the other four not to pass it to Jose; also if Jose managed to get the ball he was not to shoot; lastly that the shot was not to be put up until the clock was under four seconds.

We inbounded; we immediately threw it to Jose; Jose jacked up a long shot with about ten seconds left; and the opponent took it down court for the game winner. maybe I'm remembering this not as it was, but as it ought to have been.

I remember that . "Jose don't shoot. Jose don't shoot." And he shoots. Can't blame that one on Dale.
