NORMAN, Okla. - It was exactly what was expected when the two teams sharing the 2014 NCAA Gymnastics title met for a dual meet. Record scores, record crowd.

Top-ranked Oklahoma used the nation's top total of 2015, 198.50, to take the win over No. 3 Florida. It was Sooner Senior Night and the crowd of 4,138 set the Lloyd Noble Center record for women's gymnastics.

Face it, LSU is now a gymnastic school.

I think that LSU is a "championship"' school in that we get real excited about whoever wins. Track and Field and Women's basketball were big deals under Pat Henry and Sue Gunter years ago. Basketball was huge under Dale Brown. Baseball under Skip ... but Louisiana is a high school baseball state, so that was a natural fit, but how big was baseball at LSU before Skip came? Not very.

Football is the only constant.

The night of February 20, 2015 Gymnastics truly arrived in Baton Rouge. It was a magic night in the Assembly Center as over 12,000 roaring fans watched the Tiger Ladies take apart the defending national champion Florida Gators. Some said it was a fluke occurrence and it would be back to normal. This Friday proved it ain't going away any time soon.

LSU athletics is red hot right now, and most of the teams are very young to boot

LSU's baseball game vs Baylor today had a bigger crowd than that.

Just throwing it back at tigersbb. His "the night gymnastics arrived" routine is tiresome.

Also, I hope LSU waits to do the Fieldhouse right and not cut corners. the renderings look fantastic, but I could easily see LSU pushing forward and cutting features. I'm sold on the initial renderings

At this point, it's more than five years since that design was proposed.

Choupique you have had 36,372 posts in your 10 years on this board, average of 3,637 per year, an average o f10 per day. I am sure each one is fresh and original, thought provoking and incisive sparking much intellectual discourse.

Or did the truth give your baseball drawers a wedgie?
