"There’s no question that you can win them at Texas A&M. that’s what we’re looking forward to," said Chavis speaking about championships.

Does this guy know that the only championship ever won there was in like the 30's?

I wish he would just say,"$$$$$". That's why I came here."

At least then he would be being honest.

LSU only won one back in "like" the 50's before Saban got here.

Seriously do you want him to say A&M is a shite program and is going nowhere?

Well in 2002 the only title won here was in 50's.

TAMU has the money, support, and recruiting base to win a national title. That much is obvious.

That being said, it won't happen with Sumlin.

I've got a bad feeling two years from now (assuming Steele is our DC then), A&M's defense will be as good as or better than LSU's and their offense will still be light years ahead of ours.

I find it amazing that people now (well after the fact) want to place the majority of the blame on the Chief for our head scratching losses over the last few years. While everyone else in the country not wearing P&G glasses can see that it is our stubborn, obnoxious offensive approach that has kept LSU from reaching its full potential since 2011. Don't disagree that late game defense bears SOME of the blame, but without consistently great defenses, Miles would have been on the hot seat a long time ago. Not to mention the job the Chief did this year alone (progress this defense made from September to November was impressive). But keep wearing the P&G glasses and acting like a child that just has toy taken away, next few years may be a wake up call for you.

Would you care to enlighten us about all the championships Baylor has won?

Baylor is the ONE school in Texas that is jealous of EVERY other school in Texas.

No idea why you're coming after where I went to school, I grew up an LSU fan and all my family is from LA. I would have gone to LSU had the out-of-state not been more than what I was paying for BU.

I'm not jealous of any other school in Texas and neither are any of my friends I went to school with. We're relevant in just about every sport and the school itself is a damn good one so I don't see too much to be jealous about compared to any of the others.

I'd fire any coach who didn't think that way. You're being a pussy for making fun of him.

The fact is that you can look back at all NC teams and there is (usually) a progression that happens before they win it all. I'd use Oregon as a good example. Hanging around the Top 5 but haven't put it all together to bring home the trophy. I'd give them better odds than TCU in 15/16 because they gained valuable experience by just making the playoff.

aTm would need to be in the Top 5/10 for a few seasons to be in a position to win a NC. They don't have the players yet and Chavis probably knows that. One can dream though...

Eh, I think that'll be Queef's downfall at aTm. The state of Texas is so ridiculously committed to offense that he'll never have the level of talent that he did here. I think Strong is more likely to lure in what defensive talent Texas does produce.
