I don't give a shite what "JD" said.
Now you don't need to "think", at all.

If you are a hunter of squirrels, rabbits, turkey, and deer. All three bobcats, coyotes, and fox prey on these and a out of control population of these predators dwindles the numbers of game animal's. The out of control numbers in coyotes have spilled over into cities now dogs, cats and even small children are prey. Trapping use to keep these numbers in check but Peta helped kill that industry.

Wait, foxes kill deer? Since when?

Somebody needs to tell the foxes and deer on our land. They are usually eating out of the same corn pile.

I won't shoot a fox or a bobcat. I know if I see them on the stand I am doing my job.

man the chapped arse is strong with some of you today. Must be the cold.

Nice Bobcat, but I doubt he was a threat to your kids. Might have been a threat to your pets. To each his own if you shoot them or let them live. Only one it matters to is the one in the cross hairs.

This......although I don't pass judgement on folks if they want to shoot a bobcat. Not really excited about folks that shoot a fox tho.

I am the same way. I don't shoot Bobcats or foxes. I was hunting with my son (14 yr old) last year in a shooting house and a bobcat walked by. He asked me if he should shoot it and I said no. Mainly because I knew what was going to happen after he shot it. $500 later I was the owner of a stuffed bobcat.

They do look good when they are mounted by a competent taxidermist. I have seen more screwed up looking bobcat mounts than any other animal. Something about their faces is just hard to get right. One done right is one of the best looking animals you can have mounted though.

Stoney Hills Taxidermy does a good job.

never understood the hate for bobcats...just another predator doing it's job, and not really a nuisance in any meaningful way, certainly not to children

Well had one kill 3 of our camp cats this past fall. My father hunted that sob for 3 month before he finally got it in a trap. We had it on game cam pictures stalking the porch, on the porch and etc is how we knew the bobcat killed the camp cats that were found half eaten nearby.

Sure they're normally not a nuisance but this one was after easy meals and had to go. About the only predator we do not kill on site are foxes. Mainly because of the rarity of seeing them and we already have a few good mounts from years back.

If im in the woods hunting i wont shoot a bobcat, but this was in my parents backyard, a couple days after my moms dog was carried off by a coyote. Im looking to kill any and all predators that cross the fence into their yard!
