Isn't PLDC WLC now? My BC was talking about that today

That said, there's a lot of things you can't get unless you actually served... You wouldn't know anything about BNCOC or ANCOC if you wore a SSG/SFC rank... and you sure as shite can't ask someone who knows to help you fake it
I was one of the last to actually attend 11B PNCOC (just before they transitioned to all ranks PLDC).

Yeah, our acronyms can get aggravating at times. We are just breaking down the Army ones. Each service has their own.

Have a professor that worked for RAND and then in the Pentagon for a while. He says if you're going to be a fleshy civilian working side by side with the military you better watch out, that they love to kill you with acronyms.

I work in a jargon-filled field, but I turn that shite off away from work. Some people apparently can't do it and talk about their work in plain English.
I often have to remind my wife at parties, "nobody else here knows what any of that shite stands for. You might as well be speaking Chinese to them."

Oh I know, he was just saying that you better learn to understand their lingo. Some of the examples he would give of DoD e-mails was insane. About one sentence, 7 words, most of which were acronyms.

Long story.. I was supposed to be in Farsi and logistics fricked up and I was going to held under for 3 months mowing grass or other bullshite so they offered me French (F co - Top of the hill) and I took it.
It did get me to Paris through, which was legit.
You?
