Fact of the matter is if the TPOS cop is acting like a professional, respectable LEO, none of this happens.

The kid was the leading a chant of phuck the police at the same time of disobeying police orders, that to me is inciting a riot, in any event he was acting like a jackass and should have been arrested....not beaten

There was no riot and if there was the cops would not have left the first time they walked up to them. Use logic, don't look for ways to justify it.

Thats what cops do and why they can't be trusted. They write some vague gist so a judge can see the arrest was justified then figure out what charges they can add with people saying "I can see that". They don't play it like it happened.

There was no riot...you know it, I know it, Breaux knows it, Porche knows it and Normand knows it. BUT, you have to give something as PC for an arrest.

So, call a group of kids standing around at a parade a riot and there ya go.

Alot of kids went to that prade, alot of them smoked weed, alot of them drank, alot of them hung out afterwards but Becker got arrested because he told some cops "F*%K you".

Being a jackass is not illegal. Yelling "F@*k the police" to a cop is not illegal. It's stupid, but not illegal.

The video proves very little. Hate to bust your bubble.

Very little for who? It proves he got the fricks beat out of him while lying on his back. It proves his case perfectly, plus add 32 witnesses.

The only people it doesn't help out is ipso.

Damn glad you're not his attorney.

I don't think many people are claiming he is a good boy, but asking:

- should he have been arrested in the first place

- and if so, did he need to be punched in the face to be detained?

In other under cover cop videos I've seen most of the time their badge is around their necks on a chain hidden but available to show. I'm not seeing any badge at all in this video, obviously he's "under cover" but I just get a feeling he never id'ed himself as a cop.

The whole "undercover cop meeting with resistance" has now happened three times by my recollection in about a couple of years in and around NOLA.

You've got this one, you had the two black kids/youths standing around in the Quarter last year around Mardi Gras who were rushed by a group of guys and they tried to fight back and flee. After being set upon, it turns out the guys were cops..State Troopers if memory serves. Problem was one of the kid's mom was a NOLA officer and was in the area, shows up, and all the cops suddenly walk away.

Then you had the Ricky Jefferson deal around Clearview during Mardi Gras...which to me reads like this latest one. Undercover cops engage group of teenagers in an aggressive way, teens don't know they are cops and respond as you'd expect, cops engage and then afterwards start claiming the kids knew they were police.

How about...stop fricking engaging the public without identifying yourselves? Or, if you're going to go that route, then you can't very well expect a normal person to stand there while you beat them assuming you're not just some a-hole but an a-hole who may be an officer.

This has the feel of the Trayvon and Zimmerman ordeal, a punk kid being taken out by a cop.

The cop did go too far, but if the kid was acting out that much, he got a tough lesson for acting like an idiot. Anyone saying F the police is probably an idiot anyways.

Well you know I would love to see another story about this cop. I will leave it at that so as not to disturb those that worship all cops.

Of course Zim wasn't, but an idiot just like these two. These are two idiots just like Trav and Zimbabwe were. And the one with the authority issue got his butt whipped.
I meant to put that this in the response above.
