Cover all your bases...go see her and offer help bt bring along your new smoking hot gf. You look good for offering help and you help keep her sick by seeing you are doing fine.

either a former spouse or close SO. The relationship ended badly and your are not in contact. You hear that ex is now dealing with serious health issues. Do you contact them with sympathy, offers to help, whatever? Or do you just leave well enough alone.

I would just leave well enough alone since you haven't been in contact & relationship didn't end well. Just my opinion, but I would prefer not re-hashing/bringing up old memories & feelings of things maybe not so pleasant if I were dealing with my own illness. ... Maybe just keep a good thought or say a prayer for her recovery.

Text them YOLO
a better idea would be to pray for him/her and encourage the person to accept Christ, if he or she hasn't.

ended badly on who's side? Did it end badly for you by her or vice versa?

If my ex was on fire I wouldn't throw shite at her to try to smother the flames but that is just me, it ended badly on my side.

I don't give a shite what happens to my ex. As a matter of fact, hopefully something bad happens.

No. Divorced first wide many many years ago and have not spoken since that time.

My act of sympathy toward her was the six (6) years I spent married to her. No hard feelings toward each other, just a bad match. I don't wish her ill, but she remarried and clearly has other loved ones to fill a sympathetic role. I remarried as well and with both of us happy there is no need to revisit the past.
