So after Cage kills the Omega, he gets soaked in its blood before he dies.

How does time reset to before he speaks to the general?

He inherited the reset power from the omega, right?

How was the original point of reset (waking up on the base after being tased into unconsciousness) chosen?

Indefinitely or was it a one time thing? did he choose that reset date and time? I guess what is confusing to me is that he killed the Omega hours before the invasion, yet he reset to the morning before the invasion and the Omega was still dead.

It resets to the same point (24 hours from the first time he got the power to reset) every time until the end... when it resets to straight 24 hours.

Doesn't he reset 1 day each time, essentially 24 hours?

That would mean that he resets 24 hours from when he killed the Omega which would put him hours before the previous reset, hence his ending up on the helicopter.

Just take each time he died and go back 24 hours. The omega was killed hours before the invasion, therefore he would reset hours before the other reset point.

The original reset resets the day = same point every time

Omega = 24 hour rewind

eTA:

"the day" as in "his day"

The original isn't a straight 24 hour rewind bc he gets killed different lengths of time into his day.

The Omega is straight 24 hours from b4 the invasion.

They are both 24 hours. He just dies at different times.

The omega death is hours before his initial death. Therefore he resets to hours before he would previously reset.

Yes, it's hard to explain.

There are only 2 deaths that are important.

1. The first one by the big mimic
2. The omega

His death at the hands of the omega happened hours before his death at the hand of the mimic.

Therefore, he jumped back to hours before his initial reset point.

They were defeated on the original battlefronts as they no longer had the ability to reset time.

Why was she training at the end if there was no beach assault the next day again?

Or was there still one, just no OMega machine this go round?

Those spinning things weren't spinning around..I took that to mean she was training because she was in the military....not because she had an impending battle.
