Ive heard birds gobbling on my lease in Livingston parish the last two weekends, but hear they arent gobbling in mississippi yet.

10 yr old is supposed to youth hunt next weekend in Miss. and i was hoping someone on here has been hearing birds in south mississippi recently.

Lots of birds on our host's lease but they are quiet all season for some reason there. just need some more encouragement that birds are talking elsewhere.

Freeze killed them all.

It only takes one.

Be encouraged because the season is opening, and you have a place to take your boy with a lot of turkeys. Gobblers that gobble 1 time per week die just as dead as those that gobble 10x every morning. Taste the same too.

talked to a friend last night he heard two last week when the weather was good.

I am not hearing anything here in my places in Washington parish so it's still very early I would go no matter what you never know especially when you start calling to them.

If we can get a solid 5-7 days of spring like weather instead of 40 degrees and raining every day they will start hammering
