Pres. Underwood is going to use his trusted MMF threesome partner/secret service agent Meacham to come out on top of the president and first lady separation.

He will make Meacham tell the press that Mrs. Underwood and he have been having an affair, while President Underwood will claim that he separated from Claire on his own after finding out.

Meacham will be compensated greatly and will be more than willing to do it.

The people of America will instantly hate Claire Underwood and sympathize with Frank.

And Claire would technically be lying if she ever refuted these claims, and she would look even more like a liar if she told everyone that Frank was involved in the affair.

Winner: Frank Underwood

I'm pretty sure it would be against Meachums oath to speak to the media and air out dirty laundry like that

Plus Frank is in no position is get into a mudslinging campaign against his wife

Well Meachum* would be fired, and he is way more invested in Frank than he is the Secret Service.

I don't think we watched the same show. Frank is always trying to be one step ahead. He will definitely attempt to get ahead of the separation.

Wouldn't shock me if they went for something as bad as Claire being his Vice President. It's no more preposterous than having Claire as the US Ambassador to the UN.

Not like that.

She's got way more dirt on him than vice versa and he's got a lot more to lose than her

What's terrible is that they strongly hinted that she would make a presidential run which would be The real jump the shark moment

It is too late for her to run in the same election as Frank, unless she runs as an independent... ...JUST TO TAKE AWAY FRANK'S BETTER ODDS!

Guys we are going to figure this shite out!

Why? They didn't say she was running in 2016. She wanted experience as a stepping stone to bigger things. Sounds like another First Lady out there.

She was not satisfied using the stepping stone and waiting. That's what her whole bitch fit was about

Plus they edited a lot of scenes to have her walking with the presidential theme playing in the background while she was off somewhere

Then you had the girl that was like "you should run. Id vote for you" and she just stopped and thought for a second

It would be insane to do that but they made little hints at it during the last couple episodes

And think they've showed this season that they don't care about political precedent or about what would happen in the real world if some of these things happened

Not as his Vice President. They've still got time for that, since we both know there's no way in hell he chooses Donald again.

There was a bunch of talk of a Hillary/Michelle ticket a couple years ago. There was also a lot of talk that Michelle might seek the nomination over Hillary. I don't think having an inexperienced Claire looking at the Presidency is jumping the shark.

Her only political experience was a couple months in which she almost caused a couple wars in the Middle East and Russia

She would have zero support from either party, she would get killed on abortion and adultery ads even if she got that far, no one would fund her campaign because her only real political ally is Frank and he himself was having issue getting campaign funds as a sitting president and she just left him

I'm not saying she should run or that she would win, just that it's not far-fetched to have her run.

Not from a party perspective, but from hers.

If Claire comes remotely close to the White House in any official capacity, House of Cards will be dead to me.

First of all, Frank is a villain. We have come to sympathize with him, even root for him but he is being exposed. He is being abandoned by his closet supporters. Doug and Seth are all he has rightnow.

Secondly, if Claire leaves Frank it is hard to imagine a scenario where he overcomes that unless she runs against him and splits the female vote. Watching Frank destroy her would be delicious.

Lastly, there may not be a final season. It would suck but no announcement yet.
