No. "God" must hate me.....or at least he has me very low on his priority list of all the people who need to talk to in this great big world.

Bummer.

Not sure. One time I was at the blackjack table , down to my last dollar. I called out to let me win this last bet and I would never gamble again. I pushed. Not sure if he talked me into betting another hand. But! Since that day, I have always thought of blackjack as a religious experience

I mean it's really dishartening as a Christian to know that God plays favorites on who he chooses to speak directly too. If he has this capability(which doubt he does) why not speak to all us Christians? The world would be in better shape if he did.

Has anyone here ever taken advice from God that didn't turn out very well?

Ok, I'm going into "I'm serious Clark" mode:

Many years ago in business I had an issue I was dealing with in which I was in prayer for a few days prior and subsequently up through the time I believe I got an 'answer'.

I acted on the answer in a manner in which was a surprise to some surrounding the issue.

The end result of the scenario did not turn out at all like I expected it would be given the answer I received.... in fact from my point of view, quite the opposite of what I expected.

To this day I do not know for what good, or who's good the answer was intended.

I have no idea if there was any benefit for anyone involved. (ETA: for me personally, it was not a good outcome, and not really for anyone else either as best I can tell)

I just choose to go with it because that's what I believe was the thing to do.

Anyway, I'm cool with the smirks and ridicules that come along with such a post, so fire away.

It's more like if you are an atheist you post in this thread; if you are christian, you only post in this thread if God has spoken to you. Which seems to be a small percentage.

No, was intentional with prayer. The answer did not make alot of common sense, so it was not a gut feeling or even something I might attribute to me wanting to happen because it wasn't a really good decision for me.

That being said, I could see where there could be benefit if I could attribute the outcome to God had the decision worked, but that didn't even happen.

Anyway, this thread's anchored as expected.

I'm far from an atheist but I am asking this question because I am interesting is seeing how many Christians GOD talks to and am I in the minority.

I think the atheists are more vocal. They want to know that they are not alone, in case God "grades on a curve".
