I have a question

#5 Ouachita is on the road at Ruston
#20 Higgins hosts #29 Carenco
If Ouachita wins and Carenco pulls the mild upset, does Carencro host the Quarterfinal game since they haven't hosted a home game yet? Or does Ouachita host since they just played an away game and are the higher seed??

Carencro would host in that scenario.

Thanks....That's what I thought. I think that rule should be changed imo, the higher seeds should be protected for the Quarterfinal Rd.

Couldn't believe when I read that Carencro upset St. Aug @ Aug. I guess it really was a down year for the Catholic League.

i think you should have to win one on the road...only way to change it is play at lower seeds first round then host next 2.
i have no problem with a team having to earn it on the road at least once

Aug gets lackadaisical when they are up big. They were up 15 heading into the 4th. Hard to turn that switch back on.

Absolutely, if the higher seed hasn't traveled once then I don't have a problem with them going on the road in the Quarters....but if the higher seed has traveled in the 2nd rd then that should enough to assure they play the game to go to the state tournament at home. I just don't think the #29 seed should be given that luxury. I mean, they are the #29 seed for a reason. They didn't earn that right in the regular season. I was told this subject has been discussed in the LHSAA meetings. But just my 2 cents

I think any top seeded team would gladly travel to a lower seed that has played both of its first two games on the road. I think it's only possible for a team seeded #25 or worse to travel both of the first two rounds. I'd take my chances against a #25 or worse seed in the quarterfinals anytime.

Since the semifinals and finals are in one location, the rules should be different than football. On the other hand, Carencro would win 2 games on the road without a home game. They would be deserving. I understand Ouachita being upset since they have the best home court advantage in the state.
