Ohio State manhandles the SEC Champion in their own backyard, and you can honestly say that with a straight face?
After watching the 2014 season, there are 0 reasons to believe that Ohio State would have lost less than 2 games if they played in the SEC.

Nice. So they'd win the SEC once every 3 4 or 5 years and win the NC every 4 5 or 6 years. Sweet.

Wait, frick me. The SEC sucks and OSU would run through it on their way to a NC, all day 100% lock baby.

fricking idiots.

He's just providing a distorted view from the Ohio State side to counter the SEC idiots trying to downgrade what Ohio State did last season.

Sarcasm, try it on.

As an Alabama fan I think you know that a team that closes the game against Alabama by outscoring them 36-14 is a team that any team in college football would struggle with.

Because of the early season struggles with the line I'd tend to agree with you but it depends who they played when.

one year. They walked into the NC 2 years in a row and got their arse handed to them both other times.

I still don't get how people don't understand the passage of time. Must be hard to go through life constantly just living in 07-08. I honestly didn't even know you could post to TD on your blackberry pearl.

Yup. Just like IMO LSU would have had a better record playing OSU'S schedule last year...

Now having said that.

OSU is gonna be the team to beat AGAIN this year. IMO. The big ten will be like it always is and barring any injury they could run the table.

That's a pretty avg schedule no where near as bad as even recent tOSU schedules. They play a Power 5 team on the road to open the season and an mid major that won 11 games last year. Seem to catch a break from the West with no Wisconsin and no Nebraska. MSU should be really good and was the #2 team in the B1G last year, plus UM and PSU are on the rise.

If Missouri can go 7-1 in the SEC, then Ohio State most certainly could have gone 7-1 in the SEC. Missouri's other loss was to Indiana who Ohio State beat 42-27.

ETA: it still boggles my mind that SEC fans continue to say power teams from other conferences could not compete in the SEC while a middle of the road BigXII team has been to back to back SEC CG.

It makes it easy when the East is down with Florida sucking and UGA always having injuries derailing them, and the fact that you haven't had to play LSU, Bama, or Auburn in the regular season yet.

I think we can go ahead and write tOSU, TCU, and the SEC Champion into the playoffs.

I also think USCw is gonna make it in.

while all of that may be true, it does not change the fact that Missouri went to back to back SEC CG compiling a 14-2 SEC record in the process.

This is the problem when you just look at a conference as a whole and over time and not down to the team and season level. As a whole the SEC is the toughest conference for a lot of reasons, but there are 14 teams and we only play 8 conference games. Since in any given year some teams will be down, you can get an fairly easy schedule from time to time even in the big bad SEC. For example in 2011 Alabama's SEC schedule included 5 games against teams that finished 6-6 or worse. As you note for Mizzo the SEC East was down last year. From the west they played A&M and Arkansas. Ohio State could have easily beaten both of those and gone no worse than 7-1 overall in the SEC. Seeing as they did beat Alabama in the Sugar Bowl and destroyed Wisconsin the same day as the SEC CG i see no reason to think they could not have beaten Bama in the SEC CG and at 10-2 SEC Champs probably go to the playoff because after all the SEC is so hard

Uh, yesterday there was an osu fan that said they would have gone undefeated with LSU's schedule last year. Take a look in the mirror.

You need to look up the words sarcasm and hyperbole and understand their meaning.

BTW, Ohio State certainly proved that they belonged this January.
