I know he had gambling issues, but I'm honestly surprised it's taken until this year to be a billionaire. When you think of the money he made form playing plus the staggering endorsement deals he made, in addition to other miscellaneous crap (movies, appearances, etc) you'd think it would have happened before now.

Billion dollar bank account
$3.52 Wardrobe
Owning historically the worst team in the NBA......Priceless.

Forbes can only go off of publicly available information plus some guesstimation.
There's no way to know, for instance, whether Michael Jordan is sitting on 10 million shares of Apple or is a 1% owner of Google because that information doesn't necessarily have to be disclosed.

Yes, 100%. There are so many families that don't report who has what. Why would you report your wealth unless you had to for some reason?

Like who? The Rockefellers or Vanderbilts or something? Their families are worth multiple billions but when it is split evenly between the family members none of them are billionaires
For example. 20 billion split between 30 people = 30 millionaires or 1 billionaire family. You can't say all 30 of theme are billionaires
And let's be real. What billionaire WOULDN'T want people to know he was worth a billion? Insanely wealthy people aren't known for being the most humble and hush hush about their expenses

There are two billionaires in this state that aren't on that list. There are plenty of wealthy ppl who don't disclose financial info.

If they don't disclose financial info, how are you to know they are billionaires?

Both are big players in the industry I'm in, one is a well known name I the state especially the southern half. Benson is the only known billionaire in the state on paper, not sure if the Pennington's still are. Either way he is 3rd or 4th on the list of richest just in the state.

I get what your saying. We have heard of people being billionares and such but unless they actually release their financial info there is no proof that they are actual billionaires. Just he said\she said etc..
Not disagreeing with you that we don't possibly have more than 1 person who is a billionaire in the state, but without them releasing financial info there isn't really proof that they are billionaires. Ya dig?
