I was truly "just friends" with a couple of chicks in HS, but in general, it usually doesn't work long term, at least as far as being "good, close friends" is concerned.

I must've had some really weird chick friends then. It was always just friendship and occasional sex. Never any bit of jealousy between any of them. In fact, most of them were better friends with each other

That's a stupid immature view of the world. And I'm guessing you're under 25.
Why does this preclude friendship? There's plenty of women I want to frick. But I have a fiancé and I'd never nail a friend's girl. I also have a circle of friends from high school and I don't want to bang any of them. We're still friends though.
