Advocate great coverage of LSU gymnastics win over BAMA

The Advocate provided great coverage of the LSU gymnastics win over BAMA. There was a full article with a large headline on the sports page with photos and also coverage and more photos on another page.
Kudos to the Advocate staff for giving the people what they want.

No reason for ad hominem attacks.
I was recently critical of the Advocate for slighting the gymnastics team by providing only page 9 coverage with no pics of their last road win over Auburn.
In fairness to The Advocate I commended them on their great coverage of the win over BAMA. Apparently they took heed of the prior rebuke and have decided to give this team the coverage it deserves.

I don't know about that. Maybe it was the phone call I made to the Advocate to point out the snub. The editor provided a plausible reason of short staffing due to Mardi Gras and other factors.
Whatever the reason the Advocate is now directing more resources to the gymnastics program and doing its usual great job of sports coverage.

Not sure why the OP is getting so much hate for being pleased about The Advocate's coverage of our LSU women's gymnastics team. I'm guessing it is personal and does not reflect negatively about an LSU team, which I would hope one and all enjoy seeing succeed even if not a fan of that sport. Or it could be just The Rant being The Rant.

I pointed out the voluminous coverage of the baseball team that week including multiple pics and inane articles such as about walkup songs. Given the gymnastic team's # 3 ranking and consistent performances I thought it was a bit of a snub for the gymnastic team to get only page 9 coverage considering the baseball coverage for games against an unranked opponent. Some of the sensitive baseball crowd took offense . There seems to be some carry over in some of the responses on this thread, but I only want to duly note the Advocate has really come through the last couple of weeks.
I agree we should all want success for all teams wearing the purple and gold.
