Your knowledge of basketball makes you seem a football savant.

Never change, PEEJ.

FWIW, He has started some games and is averaging 12 minutes a game. Jason Kidd also seems to like him.

Also he just had a kid so congrats to JOB

I don't really like Mickey's NBA upside, honestly (I'm not an expert scout like you, though). Not bulky enough to be bang around in the post night-in night-out, not a good face-up defender and he isn't nearly a good enough shooter for his size. Who knows, though. Honestly, he flirted with leaving last year and I don't see his stock rising any higher. He should go, for his own good.

As for Martin, 6'10" guys that are that smooth, athletic and naturally skilled don't grow on trees. When he is focused and keeps his intensity high, he's pretty clearly the best player on the court more often than not. If he can continue to improve as he has, he could be a very good 3/4 hybrid IMHO. He didn't even play organized basketball until he was a junior in HS. But I'm sure you knew that...

Quarterman... Do you really not see how a 6'6" guy with his skills and athleticism could fit into an NBA team? Especially considering the meteoric improvement he showed from year 1 to year 2. He's only going to get better.

Lsu2006 actually knows what he is talking about.

Don't get too fixated on positions... the new trend in the NBA is positionless basketball. Stretch 4's, point forwards, combo guards etc.

The talent pool trying to get into the NBA is incredibly vast. Its the hardest league to make, but LSU has some intriguing/ imprefect prospects who do unique things.

Martin is a hybrid 3/4. Just like Julius Randle last year. Its hard to understate how far Martin has come since his freshman year... it would be foolish to say what he won't do at the NBA level.

I agree Mickey has the hardest road but he has a chance to be a Bo Outlaw / bird man type. Some teams could use him as an energy guy off the bench. I think he could benefit from another year and Adding some muscle.

TQ Is not Penny Hardaway(hobo penny) but the fact that there are so few other long 6'6" point guards is noteworthy. Plus Garrett Temple plays in the NBA.

Hornsby has a shot. I wouldn't be shocked if he made a team.

He's not a pg. No nba draft site has him listed as a 1 and some of them have him at the 3.
