All of the announcers mentioned in this thread, especially Hanagriff with his terrible voice should not be anywhere near the LSU football & basketball broadcasts as JH replacements. Rollins just doesn't do it for me.

Rollins' voice + his hokey pre-planed phrases make listening to him unbearable.

Let me just sum up what this thread will conclusively say: Everybody sucks and nobody could be as good as us posters on the rant at broadcasting (or anything else for that matter).

Possibly, but I heard his call for that triple that gave us the lead against SLU and he was pretty damn excited. It was a good call.

rantz's radio show on weeknights here so awful, its basically a platform for ronnie to talk about how he doesn't really follow sports closely but he is super awesome

The main thing that people bitch about Hawthorne is that they don't know what is going on when he is calling the game. I find that when Hanagriff and Wright are calling the games, they both very accurately describe the plays and what is happening. There are none of the ever popular Rantard version of "way back way back…caught by the shortstop" calls…yet people bitch anyway.

There were a few times this weekend where Rantz tried too hard to pick on Lyn Rollins and it didn't seem like Lyn was ok with it judging by his reactions.
