Atleast DD has earned her paycheck. Plus they get more fans in the assembly center than women's and men's bball combine

She is probably the best coach LSU has in any sport right now (Beth Torina also up there)

I see nothing wrong with that statement. Nothing at all.

They did at one point. I remember reading about it and being surprised. Not too sure about lately though.

Hard to imagine they did. UConn and Tenn don't even make money.

It was in the Advocate. Like I said, I was surprised. And bringing up UConn and Tenn not making money isn't as sure-fire a counter as you believe. Those programs liked to schedule long road trips for big games.

If I recall LSU's strategy was to split traveling costs with the men's team by traveling to the same destinations together. This was before the additions of TAMU and Mizzou, so I don't know if that's possible anymore.

The SWAC still does men's and women's doubleheaders but I doubt the SEC has done that since women's bball got out of the dark ages in the 90's. LSU wasn't close to turning a profit in those days because they were still dropping the curtain in the PMAC.

The latest financials from LSU show women's basketball breaking even at $40,193 for the 2014 season. The issue date was Jan 7th 2015. Of course, that same report also shows all athletic programs breaking even, so TIFWIW.
