I know Hillsborough was a tragedy. But I am just so tired of listening to the victim hood routine. Time to move on.

Some families came out and said it was an embarrassing mistake so that's good they didn't overreact. It was a tragedy that was attempted to be covered up, blamed on those who died and deserves to be remembered. Dunkin just didn't take the time to understand the the importance of hillsborough unfortunately

It's a logo for a sports team. No one outside of the Liverpool fanbase is going to take any griping about it seriously. People need to let this kind of shite go, especially if they are American hipsters who arbitrarily picked Liverpool as their favorite soccer team more than a decade after the event occurred.

Dunkins obviously didn't do their research, and picked the most self righteous and victim playing fans to market to.

I'm not going to comment on the fans right to be offended or not because I don't really care or have an opinion. I'm not a Liverpudlian and I have no link to Hillsborough so my perspective doesn't really matter.

What I think would bother me from the club's perspective is that a global marketing partner didn't take the time to understand the club enough to anticipate that it could blow up in their faces.

Yep. Pool fans love to play up that nauseating victim routine and DD just walked right into it without just a little research on the symbolism of the crest.

If DD went out of their way and depicted the plain the Busby Babes were riding in was a flying coffee pot then I would be offended, but it's a crest. They didn't go up to the memorial and piss on it.

Agreed. Its a silly attempt at a humorous depiction of the crest. No big deal.

According to South Park a tragedy can only be funny 22.3 years after the fact. It happened 25 years ago, lets move on.

The 96 was awful and it's nice to see justice

But what happened to the Juve fans was 100% Liverpool's fault

The always the victim it's never your fault feeling around the UK is pretty much shared by all the fans.

The song isn't just about the 96 but United fans singing it on the game the remember the 96 was in bad taste. But what do you think happens when you sing and chant Munich over and over.

Fun fact, the Nashville Liverpool supporters watch their games at a pub that's about 50 yards from a Dunkin.
