It's never going to happen. Have you ever seen the renderings? It was like taking a couple of the more elaborate rides from Animal Kingdom and putting them next to the Hollywood Casino north of downtown. It was never going to pay for itself. It was insane.

With that being said, the property is going to become something. The most recent plans call for a mixed use development with 2 hotels, retail space, and an outdoor concert venue. Since they just completed the underpass that allows access to the site (finished in December) they should be starting work on that fairly soon.

Everybody knows what the problem is in BR, but people are scared to say for fear of being called a racist.

I feel like the lakes are going to be super nice once this current dredging project is done. Nicholson Corridor looks incredible. Downtown is coming along nicely with a lot more projects to go like the Greenway, River Project, IBM, ect. Town Center was a great addition. The new Goodwood Library is awesome. Government street is starting to really get hopping and that change is just starting.

Baton Rouge is really improving. If you can't see how far the city has come in 5 years, 10 years, 20 years, you're blind, and the city has a bright future ahead of it.

They have a place for one between LSU and downtown which they are developing I believe. They also have a place for one downtown near the USS Kid.
This is true, the project along Nicholson. It'll be nice but will take a little time.

How much of Baton Rouge have you seen? Downtown, for example has a lot of attractive, newer properties.

I went up there last week for the first time in close to 2 years. It looked like several stores had closed.

Because the citizens would ruin it like everything else.
