Anybody here ever plaque mount deer antlers?

I'm using a kit that comes with a felt cover and trying to trim the cover around the antler bases and still make it look good. It's kinda tough. What did y'all use?

Wrap rough leather strings around the antlers if you use one of the kits with the huge holes. Or do it yourself with some foam padding over the base. Cover with the material of your choice.

Yea it sucks and doesn't ever come out perfevt but when its on the wall nobody really pays attention to that. They just look at horns
