I have caught a few on crappie jigs in the diversion overflow. I don't think they actually bit at the bait, but I may have been able to argue it wasn't snagging. Between the current and 6lb test, it would take me over 15 minutes to land them.

When I was a kid and they had recently damned up lake D'arbonne, we used to catch these all the time. Haven't seen one in years now though

A kid that works for us catches (snags) the piss out of them at the spillway in the summer. he catches 10-20 a trip. They seem to be pretty plentiful there

Yes, but no snagging. Not sure how else one would catch them.

We used to catch one now and then in White Lake in trammel nets back in the 80's.

Any I have tried to eat tasted like shite. We used to snag them all time at Columbia lock and dam. My dad caught one that weighed 70 lbs.
