Lane's play calling pretty much kept them out of playing for a NC.

Beefense5, has a bank vault of this dog shite gold you speak of. The first bad word posted on this board about Miles and he is ready to defend Miles like clock work. Go ahead try it, say something like Les Miles is a horrible coach and watch him spring into action.

I think we will see improvement regardless of who starts at QB and WR simply due to experience, and a full year under Coach Cameron and the offense.

how many years has AJ been under CC?

1 year and 8 months..... roughly.

eta: The problem with Jennings is his ability to throw the ball. He's not terrible at it but he's just not very good doing what Cam wants to do.

I thought AJ was an early enrollee. That would mean he has been with Cam over 2 years

Now it is. It was 2 years last month. He enrolled in January of 2013.

Also remember that in Mett's final year, the only time AJ really got in was to run a sneak in a goal line or short yardage situation. If it wasn't for Mett's knee injury, Jennings would have entered last year with relatively no game experience.

That Cam apparently made little effort to prepare in '13 for the ensuing years.

"The competition is so stiff every day in practice," Cameron said. "You can improve in two, two and a half hours like you wouldn't believe because the pressure you're under here every day. I've seen as much improvement in our quarterbacks this week as I've ever seen in a group of quarterbacks in that small a timeframe."

So AJ has had 2 years....

Can you 'splain it to Cam. Because he apparently didn't know Mett was leaving after '13.

What does that even mean?

I think he's saying it's Cam's fault that AJ didn't get into the game much in '13. I think we know who makes that call.

so why would people post a comment about how "now with a year of experience under CC"?

Excuse me? For the record, this will be his third year under Cameron. I'm just curious what exactly Cameron should have done in '13 to make Jennings not suck last year.

Good college programs don't need to start true freshmen or sophomores at QB unless that QB is very special. What is LSU's excuse?

what should LSU have done? I definitely think we failed to recruit a good backup to Mett, but at the same time what else could we have don recruiting wise to get that guy? it isn't like we didn't offer kids.

"But I've watched Anthony and Brandon in their morning workouts these past few weeks. I know what they're doing in the classroom, and they've made a change in the classroom, gone to being really good off-the-field."

I find this statement interesting. I wonder if Harris was skipping classes and struggling academically?

Going into '13, we had Mett, Rivers, AJ, and Rettig. Rettig RS'd so no PT for him. But AJ and/or Rivers should have been playing at every opportunity in preparation for '14 - if experience is a BIG factor in what we were going to attempt in '14 on O.

So maybe we should've retained Rivers and had one or the other (Rivers/AJ) playing more in '13. That would have mitigated the experience concern.
