Howard was in Orlando. I wouldn't even pull for Howard if he wasn't a Rocket, but he was awesome that year.

Derrick Rose is done. Promising young start, but injuries have told the story. At least he will always have that MVP he stole from Howard.

My theory is Rose was too fast/quick for his own knees.

I feel horrible for this guy. Yeah he didnt handle his past 2 injuries the best, but to continue to get your dreams crushed is hard for anyone to watch.

This injury may have destroyed his psyche. Poor kid...and this injury is a week too late. Had this happened 2 weeks ago, they probably would have shipped Taj and a pick for some PJ help.

Does OKC turn down Taj and a 1st round pick for Reggie Jackson? Not a shot in hell they dont

In the same vein, I've wondered if there was something to when Nike piled on that their guys don't break down. I think all these crazy light kicks don't have enough stability.

He should opt for the quick surgery and return in time for the playoffs. Only has so much time left on his career.

Who knows, maybe he gets surgery to remove damage, then stays healthy for a playoff run, and the Bulls surprise some people.

Rose chose to have a tear in the same meniscus repaired last season, which carries a longer recovery time than simply removing the damage.

He has football player explosions/movements that dont seem to fit with a hard surface like the hardwood. Each land is met without a cushion (grass/turf/rubber).

at everyone that doesn't see what is going on. Adidas went all in with Rose and gave him $185 million. Nike paid him more than that to sabotage Adidas. Between those 2 and his NBA contract he is going to end up making over $500 million because he had one good season and signed with a company Nike wanted to put out of business.

It mean he thinking about his next contract at this point. Not sure if I can blame him, but if I'm his teammate, I just know that I cant rely on him.

I wonder how much the bulls have recouped due to games lost to injury. Players usually dont get 100% of their salaries when they have season ending injuries.

Still got the Hawks to worry about.

Did not see how it happened but he is going to have to change the way he plays the game. While he has been more tentative since coming back from his previous injuries, he seems to still rely too much on his sheer athletic ability. He will need to become more crafty like D Wade and Kobe if he wishes to survive
