It was much more relevant in 19th century. Everyone on here goes on and on about culcha and everything else.....I can't agree that New Orleans contributes anything except best Creole food in the country. After that.....what?

A great place to get drunk?

So New Orleanians can troll Houston, but not vice versa?

Paul McCartney records an album in NOLA in '73.

SNL does a show from NOLA in '77.

Formosan Termites are in NOLA before Houston.

"Do you see what happens when you find a stranger in the Alps?"

That's the sanitized broadcast version.

I do love the Larry Leo reference, hahahaha.

Ok, so let's start a serious list here, New Orleans contributions to United States:

Creole Food
Seafood Distribution
Port of New Orleans (is that part of port of South LA)
Coffee Roasting - most per US
Tourism
John Besh
