Mean Girls only has a 66% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes???

WTF? I've never met a single person who didn't like that movie. 83% from critics. I would have guessed it would be 95% from audience, especially after seeing the critic score.
I was interested because "The DUFF" is at 62/77 right now, and I wanted to see how that compared to Mean Girls before I went to see it.

And this is how I feel like everyone who has seen it is. When Mean Girls comes up, people either laugh because they haven't actually seen it, or they start firing off quotes.

Goodfellas gets 95 or 96% from RT. For an ordinary movie, 60% and up isn't that bad for RT. I think it tends to skew negative in the user ratings.
I kind of wish I didn't know about Rotten Tomatoes because I let it convince me not to watch movies I probably would have enjoyed.

I usually feel like it's the opposite. Sometimes the user ratings are really generous for movies that aren't that good in my opinion. The critics are usually more harsh.

I enjoy that movie.
I'm in my mid-20s so I was in high school when it came out. It is easy to relate to that movie. I can see how a lot of people outside of this age range can not be that interested in Mean Girls.
