I have had sling tv for about a week now. I am using it on a fire tv box and it keeps buffering and will not play. I have used sling tv on my laptop and iphone connected to my wifi and it works fine. The fire tv is wired into my network and netflix and kodi work fine on it. I have tried to force stop all other apps and clear the cache to see if it would help with no luck. Anybody have any suggestion to try and fix this?

Have you done a speed test? What type of internet speed do you have?

Mine buffered for 4 or 5 days before working. Are you on the free trial? I suspect the service lags for non-paying customers.

Service lags for paying customers too. Mostly at peak times, but it will also do a weird lag thing occasionally that you can fix by moving the where-you-are-at slider.

Paying for the service no trial. My download speed is around 40 and up is around 3. I have no problem with netflix or kodi though. Does sling need a faster connection than the others?

Isn't the point of a trial to showcase how awesome the service is to convince someone to buy it? Why on Earth would they make it lag for customers who are considering purchasing the service?

Reset your modem and router, then reset your Amazon(hold big middle button and play/pause button for 5 seconds at same time) fire tv....then try....

Nope. It's probably on their side. Also wouldn't surprise me if the cable companies were throttling Sling TV.

that's what i said. all i know is i signed up for it, and it wouldn't work for nearly a week, just like the OP. i assumed they were overloaded and were possibly prioritizing bandwidth to those who were already paying customers, or going down the line in order of who signed up for the free trial.
