Just got Contour today. Curious about others experience

Switched from standard dvr's today. Interface looks good and everything seemed to be fine for the first few hours. Then I got a black screen and everything went to shite. Two cysco boxes. Problem now is that remote controls do not work for cable guide functions. They control power, volume, and channel up and down, but can't access the guide screens in either room. Rebooted twice, batteries are good, and reprogrammed remotes as instructed. When that didn't work, the rep said there was some system maintenance going on. That was hours ago. Has anyone else had this kind of issue with Contour? Not impressed so far.

Considering it took 5 different techs to get my whole home DVR working, I'm not too impressed yet. the fast forward/rewind seems inconsistent and is hard to stop at the right point. Sometimes when I stop it, it jumps back to where I started forwarding it. Haven't had a problem with the remote yet, but before my cable signal was strong enough, I did experience freezes.

Just got it like a week ago. The rewinding, forwarding, and pausing feature of whole home only works like half the time for me. The other half it goes full retard and turns black and I end up missing a few seconds of whatever I'm watching. But this is nothing new. I've always hated Cox, it's just the only thing offered in a ton of places

Had it for over a year and it's been fine for me. There's no need for multiple Contour Boxes. Sort've a waste of money. Get one for the main room and then save money with regular boxes in other bedrooms/outdoors. You can control, record, rewind/FF using the Contour Box as the "mother device" remotely using the non Contour boxes.
Never had any issues with the remote but I also went and picked up a Logitech Harmony Universal Remote last weekend (650 model). It controls my Contour, my Apple TV, my LG Smart Plasma and my Sony Soundbar+Wireless Sub. Without a sweat.
Ditch the Cox remotes, invest a little cash in the Logitech Harmony and give the Contour Box some time to work itself out. Have the tech change out any Contour Box not in your main TV watching room with regular Boxes. Save yourself some money.
You're welcome.
