As an astros fan, I've never really liked the Cubs. But I can't deny they are stacked and should be good in the future.

Astros have 2 guys in the top 100, and 1 is mark appel. I remember it was just last year the Astro fans were fawning over their farm system.

I still have hopes for Appel to come on strong this year, but I doubt he'll be a star front of the rotation guy in the future. Probably a very solid 2 or 3 starter.

Also the astros not having as many top 100 prospects now is because they got called up last season.

They've brought some young talent up to the bigs They can't exactly stay stacked with the farm systems that, say, the Cardinals can.

Really excited about the Sox having some young catchers with Vazquez, who is got a cannon and can gun runners down, something that Salty and other pasts have lacked, an Swihart who I completely forgot was still stashed down there.

To be fair, Raul is only 43. He last made an appearance in the league at 34 (May 2005).

You laughed last year when I said the huge jump they made in the rankings was unwarranted.

Now what?

Not looking up like you thought. You had 6 in the top 100 last year.

only 2 graduated to the MLB. Springer who was ok. Singleton who was terrible. Santana had a cup of coffer, but was so bad he dropped out of the list all together. Mark appel also was terrible. Oh, so was Lance McCullers, the other guy on the list.

Velasquez belongs on a top-100 list.

Injuries have slowed him down. No. 3 in rotation or higher potential n
