Hey Tiger Nation...help my daughter out by playing and "amplifying" her song. Just hit the "Play" icon and then scroll over the "Amplify" logo. Click the FB, Twitter and Tumblr options which will open up new windows. You don't have to have accounts with those networks...just let the windows open up and it gives her a vote. The system resets every 60 minutes...so, you can keep on playing and amplifying her song!

She wrote, composed and recorded the song. Top 25 artists are chosen to move on to the next two rounds for a chance to shoot a music video, a collaboration session with a grammy award winning singer/songwriter or to open up one show for a major grammy award winning singer/songwriter.

Appreciate everybody's help with this!

We really appreciate everybody's help! Remember, you can continue to vote every hour.

She's been singing and entertaining since way back in first/second grade kinda thing. She's currently a freshman at Delta State University in a Bachelor's program geared towards the recording industry. This has pretty much been her lifelong dream....to be a singer/songwriter....plus, she'll have the added bonus of knowing the ins/outs of the technical and commercial aspects of the music industry. We are all very proud of her and hope to see her achieve all of her dreams!

Thanks. If she maintains status in the top 25, she will be selected to go to the semi-finals where they will be judged on those types of categories:

•Consumer Amplification, measured by points from Round 1 (10%);
•Lyrical Composition (18%);
•Melody (18%);
•Originality (18%);
•Song Structure (18%); and
•Commercial Appeal (18%)

I can see a song like that being very marketable if it's placed in the right hands. I'd love to hear it mixed, mastered and polished, which is basically what she'll get if she wins. Job well done on her part.

Nah. I usually wait until the late evening when I can sit down, put on my headphones, and concentrate on what I'm listening to.

I just found the thread and posted a link there, too!

She's up over 4200 votes. Some guy put a song on there 2 days ago and he's gotten that many votes in those two days. He must have gotten a plug from somebody with a very large following or has some serious social networking skills!

She needs to hook up with some star power like that!

I'll admit it, I'm usually very skeptical when people post their music on here. Usually it is terrible. I'm not sure if your daughter's music is something I'd listen to regularly, but I did enjoy the song. She has a great voice and has potential.

Thanks, SUB. I agree with you 100%! LOL

I think she is best in her element when covering a Taylor Swift song. Although, in her brief music history, she has covered a wide range of genres and changes things up a bit like THIS cover of Alex Clare's "Too Close." She's on guitar. Her friend was playing keyboard for the first time in front of an audience...but, she has a really great voice, also! Give it a listen and then go back to the Grammy Amplifier LINK and vote and amplify!

She's over 4700 votes. Remember, you can vote every hour and by using the amplify options, you can vote 3 more times...just let the new window open and you voted. No accounts needed!

Thanks!!

Y'all are AWESOME!

The voting actually ends tonight at 11:59:59 PST....so, if you're in CST, like me, we have til basically 2:00 a.m. Saturday morning.

You can vote every hour. Hitting the play button gives her one vote. Selecting the Amplify button gives you the option to select a link for FB, Twitter and Tumblr. Just clicking on each of those to open up a new window gives her three more votes. YOU DON'T HAVE TO HAVE THOSE ACCOUNTS TO VOTE! Just clicking the link will bump her vote count. This can be done every hour, too.

Again, thanks from all of my family for voting. Please share the link with any other social media outlets you have or other forums you frequent (that allow this). There are a couple other forums I frequent...they don't have near the traffic TD has! LOL The "popularity" vote counts toward 10% of her final vote if her song is selected to go to the finals.

Thanks, again!

She was born in Houma. We lived there quite a while. We lived in MS through her JR and SR high school. She's going to college up there and we have moved back to LA.
