In that area Ziggy's is petty good but gets busy , Mel's Diner has a decent cafeteria style lunch, Julians for Po Boys and Cafe Kimbal for plate lunches. All are right on hwy 90.

Been hearing good things about Crickets.
But I'd recommend driving to Shade Tree Cafe if you have time. Eat outside. Get the Cajun Philly then take a nap after.

ribeye philly cheesesteak.

be prepared to wait forever or give them a good hour to get it ready. One time I called at like 11am to place an order for 2 of them and they straight up said that they didnt have time to make the order. Pissed me off but I still ended up going back.

I've gotten the ribeye philly cheese every time. It's ridiculous

I've tasted the shrimp and Tasso pasta and its also a 10/10

I tried the Ribeye Philly my first time there based on the rave reviews from this board and I was pretty disappointed. It was very heavy on the Worcestershire to the point where that's all I could taste. The other things I've had were great and the place is very cool, so it's still on my go to list, however.

I'll always add Hook and Boil as an option to these threads.
