LINK

quote:

Timothy Andrew Norris, arrived in person at the Wichita County Courthouse to pay his $600 property tax with individual dollar bills – only there was a twist. Or, er, a fold. Norris had allegedly folded each bill so tightly that it “required tax office personnel approximately six minutes to unfold each bill.”

Is this some kind of ninja trick or martial art master stuff? Damn!

quote:

If you’re doing the math, that means that it would take 3,600 minutes – or 60 hours, longer than a work week – to unfold the bills.

He must of thought it was a good idea and a humorous way to take on city hall, because those things always end well.

So, um, how long did it take him to fold them up?

Hmm? Maybe that's why he was near the deadline on making his payment. He spent a lot of time preparing his payment.

article stated that they asked him to leave because his stunt was a distraction and brought work to a halt. He refused to leave so they called the cops and he was arrested for criminal trespassing. He then attempted to break away from cop so they tacked on resisting arrest...... he better start folding those bills now if he plans on paying his fine in the same fashion.

remnds.me of that mitch hedberg joke. 3 easy payment

quote:

saw this commercial on late night TV, it was for this thing you attach to a garden hose, it was like "You can water your hard-to-reach plants with this product." Who the frick would make their plants hard to reach? That seems so very mean. "I know you need water, but I'm gonna make you hard to reach! I will throw water at you. Hopefully they will invent a product before you shrivel and die! Think like a cactus!" So it said "You can have this product for four easy payments of 19.95." I would like to have a product that was available for three easy payments, and one frickin' complicated payment! We ain't gonna tell you which payment it is, but one of these payments is gonna be a bitch. The mailman will get shot to death, the envelope will not seal, and the stamp will be in the wrong denomination; good luck, fricker! The last payment must be made in wampum!

I understand the idea behind doing this, but this is a really a-hole thing to do.

Like the YouTube video at the bottom of the article of the guy paying his $7,000 in property taxes in dollars bills and having 3 or 4 people video record it. Then he says "I don't want to make anybody's life more difficult, but..." It is just a-hole-ish.

No, he is an a-hole. It is not like his silly stunt made the lawmaker that passed his tax do anything extra, it just pissed on his fellow community members.

Not if we keep wasting the time of our government employees, in result having to pay them for more time.

Dude is a dick/loser.
