The Southeastern album was awesome, and I liked the 400 Unit album.
The hype though over the last year is getting really annoying though. If I hear another person mention him in the same breath as Bob Dylan/Paul Simon/Neil Young/Robert Hunter/etc. again I'm going to fricking snap.
He wrote the best album of the year in a decade filled with shite music and people are falling over themselves to make it more than it is. It's a great album, it's not an all time classic.

There's a lot more to it than that. Heck, my favorites of his are DBTs songs.
