I think it's official thst the Pelicans have the worst medical staff in the NBA or maybe in professional sports

This team has had 4 serious injuries in the last few years.
Gordon Knee - which by all indications was mishandled for about 2 years before an outside doctor fixed him.
Holiday Ankle - could have been mishandled but re-occurrence is not uncommon, so it's hard to pin that one on the medical staff
Ryno Neck - Seems to have recovered more or less.
Gordon Labrum - Recovered quickly and effectively
Yes it seems like this team is snake bitten regarding injuries. But Gordon's knee is the only one that I think we have any evidence that team doctors didn't handle the injury as well as it could have been. Sometimes injuries happen. I'm not sure we need new doctors, according to Ochsner's commercials that they pay the team to broadcast, they're they best in the area. But I sure would like to have a Sports Scientist on staff and some of the newer injury prevention technology.

Who is the team Ortho? Same guy as the Saints?

We've had our share of injuries, but there's no real evidence that the medical staff fricked up. Other than, perhaps, Gordon's knee problem.

Our medical staff was convinced that tyson chandler would never recover from his injuries at the time thus why wr dumped him. It goes even beyond this crap.

Do you believe the same medical staff that was around in 2008 is working with the team now?

OKC nixed our trade of Chandler to them because they believed the same thing after giving him his physical. It may seem like I'm defending the medical staff in this thread, but I'm really not, I've spoken out against them and questioned their ability many times in the past. But I think there's a difference in asking "can we do better" and blaming the staff like they're incompetent morons. There are many doctors that would follow the exact same steps and come to the exact same conclusions that ours have. With the Pelicans injury history I think think it's important that the team puts up the resources it takes to have an above average medical staff that would think to do the things that the average medical staff wouldn't. Maybe that's a people issue, or maybe it's a tools and technology issue. I honestly don't care, they just need to address it.

The head trainer this year is new. Had been part of the Saints training group for a while.
Can't put the previous years on him.
ETA: Duane Brooks. Couldn't remember his name for a sec.
