Cool. With the weather up here looks like im doing a 2.5 day work week to go with my 3 day work weeks for the Arky and Moo State series.

Guess Godfrey on Saturday and Poche Friday night.

I think it was Poche who made his first SEC start at Vandy as part of a DH.

Yeah, now it'll probably be a rotation of Lange/Poche/Godfrey. Slight change from the original plan, but keeps Lange as the Game 1 starter.

I could see Poche going game one to keep the freshman in their planned spots in a more comfortable situation

Why are they worried about the basketball schedule, no one goes to that anyway.

Move the sat game up to, might rain sat as well

Usually LSU waits until last minute to make these decisions, at least they are giving advanced notice

As a result of the change, Paul Mainieri will also juggle his original pitching plans a bit.

Sophomore Jared Poche (1-0) will get the ball for the series opener and that will allow freshman Alex Lange (1-0) to still get the Friday-night start.

Jake Godfrey wraps up the series as the starter on the mound.

Well, that makes sense. Considering the Friday afternoon game is the one that got moved, it's like ell said: It keeps the freshmen pitching when they were planned to, and just moves Poche up.

Looks like i'll be leaving at noon Friday.

Doubleheader Saturday would have been better.

Come on buddy. Let's strive for perfection and make that thread subject a little more descriptive of the change.

Godfrey threw 80+ pitches Sunday. I wouldn't push him on just 4 days rest
Exactly my thought process

I hate double headers ugh. We seem to not be as good, but this Is a new year. I know both teams have to adjust, I'm just superstitious.

Yeah DH's are good at the back half of a series if you got the first game. There are exceptions like C of C last weekend and Vandy/LSU last year(Bouman and Poche first SEC starts).

It would be interesting to see the stats on heavily favored home teams and how they do sweeping series when a DH is involved vs not.

On one hand its hard to get up for teams and stay focused 3 straight days. But its also hard to take 2 games of a DH as well.

The good thing is BC isn't good and the 2 freshman keep their exact time of when they were going to pitch anyway.

I think Domangue not throwing a single pitch hit him pretty hard.
