I love your optimism, but this team simply can't put together a consistent run of good games that it would take to pull off winning out and making the dance.

The same problems that have plagued the team the entire year continue to rear their head. It simply never changes. It may for a game or two, but never more than that unfortunately.

they basically can't lose anymore games... maybe one game, but then would have to win 2 games in the SEC tourney at least

This was discouraging to once again be up 6-8 points and not be able to put AM away.

We still have consistency problems, basic fundamental issues- not blocking out, poor passing, poor shot selection, dumb fouls etc .

I don't see this team running the table in the reg season or in the SEC tourney.

Sad because this overall is a bunch of great guys who need some solid fundamental instruction.

If the tourney started today, we'd have a pretty decent shot at doing that, catch the Vandy/Mizzou winner, and win that and you've got Ole Miss. Certainly doable. But then you get Kentucky in the semis...

I hope for the best with this team but I honestly think they drop 2 more games. 1 more @ home possibly Ole Miss and the other @ Arky. The only thing consistent with this team is that they are inconsistent. It's really a shame to lose the leads that we had in some of these games we lost.

It's not over but it ain't looking good. If their only remaining loss is Arkansas I think they sneak in.
Yeah I think this is the only way and a good run in the SECT.

They probably have to win out until Ark. Unless they win the whole thing, the SECT isn't really that important one way or the other. The committee is going to make its decision based on the 30 games during the regular season, not 1-2 games in the SECT.

Like A&M has done to LSU, OM is a fellow bubble team that LSU is in a position to sweep. UGA is in free fall. Last night was tough because it was a wasted opportunity to put a fellow bubble team in the rear-view mirror.

Going back to the beginning of the year most with any understanding of the team, conference, schedule and selection process said that assuming LSU made it through OOC slate relatively unscathed, it was going to take 12 SEC wins to definitely get in and 11 to be in the conversation. That hasn't changed

Their margin of error has all but evaporated, but the season isn't over (yet)

Win the rest and you're in. Do not double-fault to Auburn and hopefully, we can match up with Arkansas.

It's looking more and more like 10-8 right now, I am afraid.

I want to be a program that can win a championship...so in my opinion they are finished...we aren't good enough to win it, should be good enough to make it to the 64

Baby steps Champs. It would be improvement

No offense, but this is like watching the football team and expecting Chavis' defense not to fold in the last drive of the game.

They can't seal the deal.

It's over.

Its no where near over.... most bracket predictions I've seen today still have LSU in and as an 8 or 9 seed so long as we don't crap the bed the last few games and win least one in SEC tourney we are set

You couldn't be more wrong. Since we'll be squarely on the bubble at the end of the regular season, the SEC tourney is critical for us. The selection committee looks at those games as additional conference games, which they basically are.

If we win a couple tourney games and maybe get to the finals and play well there, that absolutely can put us in the Dance.

I understand that last night was a big setback the team didn't need, but this thing isn't over yet. Everyone is reacting like it was the last game of the year and that it's all said and done. I know there aren't any high profile match-ups left on the schedule as of now, but maybe last night will give a spark to the guys and they'll finish on a high note and maybe even make some noise in the SEC tournament. The win over WVU got some much needed help when they defeated Kansas this week, and if LSU could win out and close the regular season with a W against Arkansas I think they're in. If not, there's always a possibility to make some noise in the SEC tournament. And here come the negative posts......

Put down the Tony Robbins book man. We got JJ and he is staying a few more years according to the Rant. Get used to being a bubble team every year by our coach, Lawrence Welk.
